The research areas of Carlotta Mazzoldi include: Behavioural ecology of teleost and elasmobranch fishes, in particular the reproductive biology; Sexual selection in teleost and elasmobranch fishe; Life history traits of teleost and elasmobranch fishes; Interactions between biological traits of marine species and fishery; Historical ecology of marine animal populations. The issues proposed for bachelor and master theses include: Study of the life history traits of teleost and elasmobranch commercial species and effects on vulnerability to the fishery; Study of the behavioural ecology of teleost and elasmobranch commercial species and effects on vulnerability to the fishery; Histroical ecology of the sea: analyses of historical data and integrations with differnt types of information sources to reconstruct the past of marine populations and drivers of changes.
